How to buy Telegram Stars

You can buy Telegram Stars with the crypto in your balance — for yourself or for another Telegram user. Stars are delivered through Fragment and normally land within a minute.

Steps

1. Open the app and go to Stars & Gifts, then the Stars tab (make sure the Buy toggle is selected).
2. Pick an amount from the preset cards, or type a custom amount. The minimum and maximum are shown on the screen.
3. Check the To block. By default the Stars go to you; tap Change to send them to someone else’s public @username — or to create a check link instead (see below).
4. Choose the asset you want to pay with. The app shows YOU PAY with a live quote and your balance in that asset.
5. Tap Buy … Stars and confirm. You may be asked for your PIN or Face ID before the purchase goes through.

Who the Stars go to

Delivery goes by @username, so the account receiving the Stars needs a public @username on Telegram. Buying for yourself, that means you — if your account has none, the app warns you before you pay; set one in Telegram’s settings and come back, or use a check link instead.

Buying for yourself adds the Stars to your own Telegram Stars balance. Buying for someone else delivers straight to them; the delivery itself doesn’t carry your name. Turn on Show me as the sender and the recipient gets a message naming you — if they use this bot.

No @username? Use a check link

Instead of a recipient, pick Send as a check link. You pay now, get a link you can share in any chat, and whoever activates it first receives the Stars. They still need a public @username of their own at that moment — the check just means you don’t have to know it in advance. If nobody activates the link before it expires, the money returns to your wallet automatically.

Good to know

• The quote is live and locks at payment. If the price moves while you were deciding, the app asks you to review the new quote instead of charging you at the old one.
• Fees are already included in the amount you see under YOU PAY.
• There’s a maximum per order and a daily limit, both applied in USD terms.
• Your funds are held in escrow until delivery. If delivery fails, they are returned to your wallet automatically — see Your Stars, Premium and gift orders.
