How to buy or gift Telegram Premium
You can pay for Telegram Premium with your crypto balance — for your own account or as a gift to another Telegram user. Premium is delivered through Fragment and activates on the recipient’s account within about a minute.
Steps
- Open Stars & Gifts and switch to the Premium tab.
- Choose the subscription length: 3, 6 or 12 months. These are the only plans Fragment sells; the app marks the best value per month.
- In the To block, keep yourself as the recipient or tap Change and enter their public @username.
- Pick the asset you’re paying with, review YOU PAY, then tap Get Premium … mo.
- Confirm with your PIN or Face ID if the app asks.
The recipient must be eligible
Telegram Premium can only be bought for an account that doesn’t already have it. If the recipient is already a subscriber, the app tells you so and asks you to pick someone else — this also applies to your own account, in which case the “For myself” option is hidden.
The recipient also needs a public @username, because delivery is addressed by username.
By default a gifted subscription arrives without your name attached. Turn on Show me as the sender if you’d rather be named — the recipient gets a message from the bot naming you, provided they’ve used the bot before.
Premium can’t be sent as a check link
Stars and profile gifts can be paid now and claimed later through a share link. Premium can’t: it is priced and delivered only for a specific eligible recipient, so an unaddressed link would fail at activation. Pick the recipient up front.
Good to know
- The price is quoted live in the asset you chose and locks when you pay. If it moves first, you’ll be asked to review the new quote.
- Your money sits in escrow until the delivery is confirmed. A failed delivery is normally refunded to your wallet automatically; the rare in-between cases are covered in Your Stars, Premium and gift orders.
- Order limits apply per order and per day, in USD terms.
