Changing or resetting your PIN

To change your PIN you enter the current one. If you’ve forgotten it, you reset it with a code emailed to your backup email. Both live under Security → Withdrawal PIN.

Changing it

1. Open Security and tap Change PIN.
2. Enter your Current PIN.
3. Enter the New PIN (4–8 digits) and repeat it.
4. Tap Change PIN.

Remove works the same way — it also asks for the current PIN. Removing it means you can no longer withdraw at all: the PIN is the required factor for every withdrawal, so the app will ask you to set one before it lets money out.

Forgot it: the email reset

Tap Forgot PIN?. The app emails a code to your backup email; you enter that code together with a new PIN, and the new PIN takes effect.

This is the only thing the backup email can do. It doesn’t confirm withdrawals and it doesn’t unlock anything else — it exists so a forgotten PIN isn’t the end of your account.

Two things to know about it:

• No backup email, no self-service reset. The screen says so: “No backup email is linked — contact support to recover your PIN.” Add one under Security → Backup email while you still remember your PIN.
• A newly changed email has to wait. If you change the address on your account, it can’t authorize a PIN reset until a safety window passes — the screen shows the date. Your first email doesn’t wait. This exists so someone who reached your Telegram session can’t repoint your recovery channel and take the PIN in one go.

Too many wrong tries

After several wrong entries the PIN locks for a short period and the screen shows “Too many wrong PIN attempts — locked until …”. Wait it out. If you’ve enrolled Face ID or fingerprint, that still works during the lockout.

A new PIN can have a waiting period

If you set a PIN for the first time on an account that already holds funds, it activates after a delay and the screen tells you when. If you have a backup email, resetting the PIN through Forgot PIN? instead makes it active immediately — an email-confirmed PIN skips the wait.
