Most stolen crypto is handed over by the victim, not “hacked.” This is the official safety guidance for the app. Read it once, and it’ll keep you ahead of the common scams.

The rules that never change

There is no seed phrase

This is a custodial wallet, so there is no seed phrase and no private key for you to back up or type in. If anyone asks for a “seed phrase,” “recovery phrase,” or “12/24 words” for this wallet — to “restore,” “sync,” or “secure” it — they are a scammer, full stop.

Act on security messages

The app sends a critical Telegram message whenever a security factor changes — your email, PIN, or Face ID. If you ever get one you didn’t trigger, treat it as a break-in: your account may be compromised, so review your security settings and the address allow-list right away.

If you think you’ve been scammed

• Change what you still control — your email code path and your PIN.
• Check your allow-list and remove any address you didn’t add.
• Contact support only through the official bot @tgpaycryptobot, never through someone who messaged you.
