How to create a check

A check turns some of your balance into a shareable link that others can claim. Here’s how to make one.

Steps

1. Open Checks and tap New.
2. Choose the asset and enter the amount each claim should pay out.
3. Set the number of activations — how many times the check can be claimed (1 for a single-use check, more for a giveaway).
4. (Optional) Add a password, and/or lock the check to a specific Telegram user.
5. Tap Create, then share the link.

What gets locked

Creating a check locks amount × activations from your balance. Those funds sit in a hold while the check is live, so you can’t spend them elsewhere until they’re claimed or you delete the check.

Each claim releases exactly one amount to the claimer. When every activation has been used, the check is exhausted and nothing more can be claimed.

Sharing the link

Send the link anywhere — a direct message, a group, a caption. Anyone who opens it lands on the claim screen. You can also share a check straight from any chat using the bot’s inline mode; see Claiming a check.

Good to know

• You can only lock an amount you actually hold in that asset.
• A check locked to a specific user is always single-use — locking it caps the activations at one.
• Nothing is lost if it isn’t claimed: delete the check any time and the unclaimed remainder comes back to your balance.
