How interest accrues and when it's paid

Interest builds up every hour and is paid into your wallet once a day, at 00:30 UTC. The Earn screen states the current schedule right under the APR — that line is always the authoritative one.

The hourly rule

Each hour is counted on the smallest amount your position held during that hour. Two practical consequences:

• Money added mid-hour starts earning from the next full hour. Adding funds at 10:45 means the 10:00–11:00 hour still counts your old, smaller balance.
• Money taken out mid-hour forfeits that hour on the part you removed.

So there’s nothing to game by moving funds in and out around the clock — and the most an awkwardly-timed deposit can cost you is the remainder of the current hour’s interest on the amount you just added.

Where you see it

• Accrued today on the Earn screen — what has accrued since the last payout but hasn’t been paid yet.
• Earned so far on each position — everything you’ve earned on that asset to date.
• Interest history — the per-day record, with 7D / 30D / All views and a date-range picker. Totals shown there cover the whole selected period even when only the most recent rows are listed.

Rate tiers

Some assets price by ladder rather than one flat rate: the first slice of your position earns the headline rate, and anything above the threshold earns a lower one. Your effective rate is the blend of the two, which is why a bigger position can show a lower average APR. The Earn screen lists the tiers for each asset, and the daily estimate under your position already accounts for them.

Small balances

Positions below the asset’s minimum don’t accrue. If you withdraw most of a position and leave dust behind, that dust earns nothing until it’s back above the minimum.

When a payout lands

At 00:30 UTC the previous day’s accruals are summed per asset and credited to your wallet balance — not back into Earn — so payouts are immediately spendable. Each payout is listed in the Earn screen’s Interest history as an interest payout to your wallet.

A day with no full hours above the minimum simply pays nothing; nothing is lost, the next day continues as normal.
