What Earn is
Earn pays you interest on crypto you’re not using. You move part of your balance into Earn, it starts earning at the rate shown on the screen, and you can take it back whenever you want.
How it works
Your balance stays in your account the whole time — Earn is a separate pocket inside the same wallet, not a transfer to someone else. The Earn screen shows two numbers per asset: how much you have in Earn (your principal) and how much interest you’ve earned so far.
Behind the scenes we put that money to work at external staking venues. That’s what pays the interest, and it’s also why very large withdrawals can take a little while to come back — see Withdrawing from Earn.
Which assets earn
Only a few assets are supported, and the list can change. The Earn screen is the source of truth: it lists every asset that’s currently open with its APR (the minimum deposit shows in the Add-funds panel). Assets that aren’t listed simply sit in your wallet as usual.
Rates are shown as an annual percentage (APR) and can differ per asset — some flat, some as a tier ladder the screen breaks down.
What it costs
Nothing. There is no fee to add funds, no fee to take them out, and no lock-up period. What you see accrue is what you keep.
Things to know before you start
- The rate is not a promise. APRs change with market conditions, and a floating rate can move down as well as up. Interest you’ve already been paid is yours; future interest is not guaranteed.
- Bigger balances can earn less. Some assets use a rate ladder — the first slice of your position earns the headline rate and the amount above a threshold earns a lower one. The screen breaks the tiers down.
- There are caps. Each asset has a minimum deposit, a per-person maximum, and an overall capacity. If Earn is full you’ll be told so and can try later.
- This is a custodial product. Your funds are held and staked by us, not by you. That’s the same trust model as the rest of your balance, but staking adds venue risk on top.
- Withdrawals are not always instant. They always work, but a large one may take a few hours, up to about a day.
