Subscription plans and payouts

2 min readUpdated Aug 7, 2026

A plan is what your subscribers buy: a name, an asset, a price and a billing period. Every payment is credited to your wallet immediately — there’s no payout request and no channel balance to move money out of.

Creating a plan

From the channel’s manage screen, tap Add plan:

  1. Plan name — what subscribers see, e.g. “Monthly pass”.
  2. Billing period — weekly or monthly.
  3. Asset and price per period.
  4. Check the payout breakdown, then Publish plan.

You can run up to ten plans on one channel — a weekly and a monthly tier, or the same access priced in different assets.

The payout breakdown

The plan form shows exactly what happens to each payment: what the subscriber pays, the platform fee if one applies, and what you receive. The current fee is shown right there on the screen rather than quoted here, because it’s a live setting — read it off the breakdown before you publish.

Whatever the split, the fee is fixed at the moment of each charge. A later change to the fee affects future payments only.

When the money arrives

Immediately, on every charge — the first one and every renewal. The net amount lands in your normal wallet balance in the plan’s asset, so you can send, swap or withdraw it the same as anything else. Nothing is held in escrow and nothing needs approving.

The Earnings screen lists every payment with the subscriber and the date, plus a per-asset total.

Editing and retiring plans

  • Editing a plan applies to future subscribers only. Everyone already subscribed keeps the price and period they signed up with, forever, until they cancel. You can’t raise the price on existing members.
  • Archive a plan to stop selling it while current members carry on renewing.
  • Delete a plan only works if it never had a subscriber. Once anyone has bought it, archive it instead — the payment history has to stay intact.

Reading the channel stats

  • ACTIVE — everyone with a live paid period, whether or not it will renew.
  • EXPIRING — the subset of those who turned auto-renew off; they’ll drop at the end of their paid period.
  • EARNED — your total from this channel, net of fees.

⚠️ Price your plans in an asset your audience holds

Subscribers pay from their in-app balance in the plan’s exact asset — there’s no automatic conversion at checkout. A plan priced in an asset nobody holds simply won’t sell. A stablecoin is the safe default; a volatile asset means your revenue per period moves with the market.
