How to send crypto to another Telegram user
You can send crypto to any Telegram user straight from your balance. These transfers are instant and free — they move inside the app’s ledger and never touch the blockchain, so there’s no network fee and no waiting for confirmations.
Steps
- Open the app and tap Send.
- Choose the asset and enter the amount.
- Choose the recipient — a Telegram user.
- Confirm. The funds arrive in their balance immediately.
The recipient doesn’t need an account yet
If the person hasn’t used the app before, the transfer still works — a wallet is
created for them automatically, and the funds are waiting when they open
@tgpaycryptobot for the first time.
Send vs. withdraw
| Send | Withdraw | |
|---|---|---|
| Goes to | a Telegram user | an external on-chain address |
| Speed | instant | waits for network confirmation |
| Fee | free | network fee applies |
| Reversible | no | no |
Use Send to pay another user of the app; use Withdraw to move crypto to an outside wallet or exchange.
Good to know
- Transfers are final — there’s no way to reverse one once sent. Double-check the recipient before confirming.
- You can only send an amount you actually hold in that asset.
- To send to someone who isn’t on Telegram, or to make a claimable link anyone can redeem, use a Check instead.
