If you lose access to your Telegram account

Your wallet is your Telegram account. There is no separate login — no username, no password, no email sign-in. Get your Telegram account back and the wallet comes back with it, balance and history intact. Until then, nobody can open it for you.

Recovering the Telegram account

That part is between you and Telegram, not us:

• Sign in again with your phone number and the login code.
• If you set a Telegram cloud password (Telegram’s own two-step verification), you’ll need it — or its recovery email.
• Lost the phone number itself? Telegram’s account-recovery process is the only route. We have no control over it and no ability to speed it up.

A new Telegram account is a new wallet

The app identifies you by your Telegram account, not by your phone number. If you delete your Telegram account and create a fresh one — even on the same number — the app sees a brand-new user with an empty balance. The old wallet’s funds stay with the old account.

The backup email isn’t a way back in

If you added a backup email, its only job is resetting a forgotten PIN from inside an account you’re already signed into. It cannot log you in and it cannot recover a lost Telegram account.

What support can and can’t do

Support can help with things inside the app — a stuck withdrawal, a deposit that hasn’t landed, a question about a restriction. Support cannot restore a Telegram account, verify your identity in place of Telegram, or hand your balance to a different account. Anyone promising otherwise is a scammer; see official links.

Reduce the damage in advance

• Turn on Telegram’s two-step verification with a recovery email. This is the single biggest protection your wallet has.
• Protect the SIM/number your Telegram is on — SIM-swap is how these accounts get taken.
• Set a PIN. Whoever gets into your Telegram still can’t withdraw without it.
• Keep the address allow-list on, so funds can only leave to addresses you approved earlier.
