Verification
Identity verification, account restrictions, and AML reviews.
What verification is and when you need it
You do not need to verify your identity to use the wallet. You can open the app, receive crypto, send it to other Telegram users, swap, and withdraw without ever uploading a document. Verification is optional and exists for three specific situations.
How to get verified
Verification runs in three stages inside the app: your phone number, your basic details, then a document and liveness check. Open More → Verification to start.
Why outgoing transactions are restricted
A restriction means money can't leave your account until it's lifted. Your funds stay yours and stay where they are — nothing is confiscated, and in most cases you can still receive crypto normally.
My deposit is on hold for an AML review
Incoming deposits are screened against sanctions and risk databases before they are credited. Most deposits pass instantly. Two things can happen when one doesn't.
Source-of-funds requests
A Source of funds step appears on your Verification screen when a deposit has been placed on hold by an AML check. It asks you to show where the money came from. Completing it is what releases the held deposit.
Verification problems and what to do
Most verification failures fall into a handful of cases. Find yours below.
