Additional deposit addresses (and why they cost money)

You can hold more than one deposit address per network. Your first address on each network is free and created automatically; every additional one is a paid feature — the price is shown on the screen before you confirm.

Generating one

1. Open Receive and pick the asset and network.
2. Tap My deposit addresses.
3. Tap Generate new address.

The screen states the cost first — “An additional address costs …” — with the exact amount that will be charged from your balance in the asset you’re receiving. Confirm and the new address is created and becomes your default: the one Receive shows from then on.

The charge appears in your Activity as Fee for an additional deposit address.

What you can do with them

On the My deposit addresses list, open any address to:

• Rename it (addresses are labelled Deposit Address 1, 2, 3… by default),
• Set as default so Receive offers that one,
• Delete address.

Addresses are per network, not per coin — one address on a network credits every asset the app supports on that network, and the detail screen lists which ones.

“Delete” only hides it

This is the important part. Deleting an address removes it from your list and nothing else. The address stays yours forever and anything sent to it is still credited to your balance — including deposits that arrive years later. The app says so on the confirmation: “It stays yours forever — anything sent to it will still be credited.”

The same is true when you generate a new one: your previous addresses keep working. You never have to update anything you already shared.

You cannot delete your last address on a network — one always has to remain.

Good to know

• There is a cap on how many active addresses you can hold per network. The list tells you when you’ve reached it.
• If your balance doesn’t cover the fee, generation fails and no address is created — top up and try again.
