Confirming a withdrawal to a new address
The first time you withdraw to an address you have not successfully withdrawn to before, the app asks for an extra confirmation: your account PIN or Face ID. This is an anti-theft check — it makes sure a new destination was approved by you, not by someone who reached your session.
How it works
- Start a withdrawal to a new address as usual.
- Before it’s sent, the app prompts you to confirm with Face ID or your account PIN.
- Confirm, and the withdrawal proceeds.
- That address is now trusted: future withdrawals to it don’t ask again.
Only Face ID and your PIN count as confirmation here. An email code is not accepted for this step — it’s only used to set up those factors in the first place. See Face ID & biometrics and your account PIN.
After confirmation, the address is trusted for good
Once you’ve successfully confirmed a withdrawal to an address, it stays trusted — there’s no expiry. You confirm a given address once, then send to it freely.
If you don’t have a PIN yet
If you haven’t set an account PIN, the app sends you to set one up before you can confirm a new-address withdrawal. See your account PIN.
Related protection
For tighter control, the withdrawal address allow-list restricts withdrawals to addresses you’ve explicitly saved — a stronger layer than the one-time new-address confirmation.
